Jim Walther and I continued to date after high school and eventually married in 1969. Immediately after high school, I went to Stanford (so did Jim) and then to UC-Berkeley for graduate school where I eventually earned my Ph.D. in economics. I taught at USC for 7 years, worked at Southern California Edison for 20, and am now an economic consultant. I generally work on projects dealing with either the electricity or natural gas markets. I also find time to play golf, ski, hike, and volunteer. Jim has been a corporate attorney after receiving his law degree from UCLA. Shortly after getting married (actually after Jim returned from Viet Nam), we moved to Los Angeles area so Jim could go back to law school. We have lived in Pasadena for the past 30 years. In 1977, Jim and I became parents with the arrival of our daughter, Danielle. She graduated from Boston College and then gravitated back to Pasadena.
